Terms of Service

Last updated: March 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SquadOp platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including club administrators, coaches, parents, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

SquadOp is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that provides operational infrastructure for community-based youth sports clubs, including compliance tracking, payment processing, schedule management, coach payroll, gym scheduling, and parent communications.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content.

4a. User-Generated Content & Community Standards

Parts of the Service — team chat, announcements, and RSVP notes — let you post content other members can see. You are responsible for what you post. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post content that is harassing, bullying, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or that exploits or endangers a minor, and you may not impersonate another person or share another member's personal information without permission.

These protections are built into the product, not just this document:

  • Report: any message can be reported from the app or the web portal.
  • Block: you can block another member so their content no longer reaches you.
  • Mute: you can mute a channel you no longer wish to receive.
  • Moderation: club administrators and SquadOp can remove content and remove members from channels.
  • Minors: athlete accounts post only in moderated team channels; they cannot start private one-to-one conversations.

We aim to review reported content and act on it — including removing the content and ejecting the member who posted it — within 24 hours. To report content or a user outside the app, contact hello@squadop.com. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these standards.

5. Payment Terms

  • Certain features of the Service may require payment. Pricing details will be communicated before any charges apply.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Club administrators using Stripe Connect are responsible for their own Stripe account and compliance with Stripe's policies.
  • Refund policies are determined by individual clubs and communicated during registration.

6. Data Ownership

  • You retain ownership of all data you enter into the platform.
  • We do not claim ownership of your club data, documents, or content.
  • You grant us a limited license to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.
  • You may request export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6a. Mobile Application

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the SquadOp mobile application on any device you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the app store you obtained it from.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, or via our account deletion page.

For applications obtained through the Apple App Store: this agreement is between you and SquadOp only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the application. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the application, including product liability, regulatory compliance, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., Stripe, GameChanger, TeamSnap). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party integrations is subject to their respective terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SquadOp and its officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SquadOp from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request your data before or after termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Contact Us
